"Don't Paint It – Kote It!"
PolyKote is where our magic is derived from. This milky water-based resin has been very specifically developed over many years of testing and refining to finally find a wide-ranging application unique to all our KOTE products.
PolyKote is milky in the wet state and super-clear in the dried state. It is aggressively adhesive to the point where it should be regarded as permanent once laid and dried.
Depending on your application PolyKote can be used on its own as a clear protective coating for almost any and every substrate. It can be used on wood, ceramic tiles, over paint, on roof tiles after installation, or cleaning. It can be mixed with our proprietary aggregates such as super attractive pebbles, or high-class sand, or rubber granules as well as our incredible ceramic spheres that are astoundingly effective in insulating against heat etc.
If mixed with water it can be sprayed onto sandy and dusty areas to form a solid surface.
It can be mixed with acrylic tints to create all colours.

Well wonder no longer! Here you can see the exquisite work of a Mossel Bay contractor who artistically and professionally lay down a pale and dark shade of coloured stones to make the driveway to this gorgeous home a feature piece that would have all the guests 'ooh'ing and 'ah'ing all day!
Pebbles come in all shapes, sizes and colours, but each one is the perfect complimentary aggregate for your home.
As you can see, a client wanted to bring the beach to his home and thus the contractor was able to produce it with little effort.

The magic is in the PolyKote. This binder is UV stable and eco-friendly. It is a one pack binder that you mix with your aggregate to create a fabulous finish whether it be sand, pebble, brick, etc. Just take a bit of PolyKote, mix it with sand and it becomes a highly trafficable crack filler or surface.
Sand is a highly desirable aggregate to use with our PolyKote. It binds the aggregate well enough that it still leaves a lovely semi non-slip surface, making it ideal to put around a pool or down a pathway.
Below you can see the excellent skill of our Cape Town contractor who was able to mold the sand over the coping to make it look smooth and 'soft' on the eyes.
He and his team have really pulled an amazing bit of magic and transformed this normal pool area into a work of art.
Our PolyKote comes in 1lt, 5lt and 20lt buckets, this helps with mixing and also allows contractors to keep the binder and use in batches or as needed on the job so they don't have any waste. It is the perfect solution for when you are doing sample patches of PebbleKote or SandKote or patch sections of the same products.
Don't forget to make sure that you are cleaning your surface area with KleenKote before putting down any of your PolyKote products.
You may even want to put down a patch of KonKote before you put down any other Kote product as this will help seal the surface as well as create the perfect base coating for the Kote product.
PolyKote is only ONE of our two binders that is used for binding pebbles to create a UV stable, eco-friendly pebble paving.
The binder can be mixed with various sized atone/aggregate but we recommend not using anything larger than a 4mm size.
