ThatchKote is the long-awaited transparent coating designed to protect the integrity and longevity of thatching on roofs.

There is also a light weight textured version of ThatchKote which is formulated to fill the voids between the reeds and add colour at the same time. There is an added advantage to this textured version which acts to reduce the risk of fire by the nature of the components within the formula which is a pure ceramic aggregate.

Keeping the weather from penetrating the grass will enhance many aspects of the roof, such as discoloration, weight when wet, rotting, bird degradation, monkey damage and early replacement of the entire roof.

ThatchKote normally comes in clear. This is for applications where you want to see the current reeds and their natural shade.
Customers have chosen the 'CLEAR' option for the inside/under roof section of their homes or lapas to help keep the grass looking as beautiful as the first day it was installed whilst also protecting it from degradation.
